I think you’re forgetting that it’s a real relationship. It’s not that he just picked MM out of the blue to annoy and piss off his family. Harry said that he loved her during the engagement interview. The relationship just isn’t based on a mature or true love like most people would expect for a marriage engagement. Like, AHPF said, “I think it’s pretty twisted and pathetic and based on ego,
attention-seeking, family resentment, and neediness, but I think it’s
real relationship.”
The theory I do not buy is Harry as rebel in cahoots with MM. I have friends who work in mgt with the Palace estates and Harry 1) can’t even hire or fire. 2) lives off an allowance from Papa – his inheritance is in untouchable trust and annuities 3) his staff are paid by his Papa. Yes he has temper tantrums makes demands and they will give in but flat out rebellion? He hasn’t the resources for that nor is he so easily controlled as in MM controls him. So how can one buy a Harry rebellion?
