The step in front of him is his fault. Also it’s obvious that their doing everything on the own and no help from family. Even Philip who is seen as tough male knows that his wife is the head so he respect tradition to step back and let her lead. Kate also does this with william. The fact that meghan goes in front of him is perfectly clear she doesn’t know protocol at all
