It’s for the sun. Like a parasol. Sophie doesn’t have one as her hat blocks the sun but Andrew and Edward don’t have hats and the Queen seems to have temporarily become a vampire
Heat can be tough on the elderly.
The Queen, Andrew and Edward are all carrying umbrellas at the garden party, but it’s super sunny and doesn’t appear to have a cloud in the sky! Is this just a style move, or does it just start to rain in London randomly?
