I just realized something. Since they consider the reception after the wedding to be for their “old circle” they aren’t all that concerned about what food they serve them or how they do it. This group will include a lot of his own family members. That’s why it’s this stupid standing and eating bowl food. Their “new circle” will get the festival and real party. They are making a statement about how those they consider to be their crew. They truly are very rude people. Big mistake.
