I suspect she wore stilettos in this instance for two reasons

- She’s really short and doesn’t want to look even shorter next to Harry in flats.
She probably would have been shorter than this field hockey player had she not worn heels.
IMO Meghan looked overdressed on pitch and hairstyle worn with that Givenchy suit was a miss, almost like rain caught her on her way. Clutch was completely unnecessary but she has to show she’s recycling. I presume stilettos are to prevent from taking part in any activity, she’s also worn stilettos on Invictus Trials back in March or April
