Not sure I believe that. If the press in the UK–particularly including Piers Morgan–had aired what was assumed to have been a private phone call with a member of the BRF, then there would have been a firestorm against the UK press. People in the UK remember the phone hacking scandal. Piers would have lost his job for that. Easily.
Rumor has it, on Father Day, before THomas’s interview on GMB- they have brought him to LA and Piers and the producers had plans to have his phone call with Meghan recorded. It’s why Samantha was telling Meghan, via twitter, to call their father. Piers said that Thomas could have made big money but only got a couple grand for the interview. Her phone call was what they were looking for. The same for his birthday. It was all set up.
