I think this is the first time in his life that Harry’s PR strategy has failed. He thought Megs would receive good will like he does and it’s just a disaster. And now people’s dislike for her is rubbing off on him. The shock must be intense. I wonder how he is managing it?

I don’t think he realizes that he had a huge backlog of sympathy thanks to his mom’s fantastic press instinct and that walk he did behind her coffin. Meghan doesn’t have that. Add to that the fact that a  lot of people think that she is a cunning opportunist taking advantage of a not-so-smart prince and you have a recipe for disaster.

In many ways his own past works against him because the public knows him as someone who is impulsive, stupid, and has very bad judgement. That was a characterization that they reinforced over and over again to explain drugs, Vegas, and leaving the Army. Now Meghan shows up and, well, it’s only too likely that he messed up again.
