I suspect part of the problem is that she thinks she thinks of herself as a designer who had her own clothing line. She thinks she knows better, so she doesn’t listen to the people advising her.
Can you imagine spending your life thinking ‘If I had all of the money in the world and a ton of events to go to I would look amazing and be adored all the time’ (because you know that was what MM was thinking during her years in the periphery of HW) and then actually getting all of that and looking like a perpetual fashion victim? The irony is delicious, it really is. Also, has anything ever better illustrated that money can’t buy you class or taste?
