I don’t believe the Wendell MI5 story one bit. First, MI5 is for domestic counter intelligence & security. Why would they cover an American in Canada? They don’t even cover the royals in the UK! It’s like saying the FBI were protecting Harry in the UK. Wrong arm of security. Second, i can’t imagine Charles agreeing to pay for this. She probably had regular body guards like it was reported back then. This is Rachel. She likes security stories to make herself seem important.

Cui bono? That is, who benefits? Megsy does NOT benefit from this story. 

1) With all her clothes spending, she does not need stories circulating that she got more protection than Kate before Kate became engaged to William. And for an ENTIRE YEAR!

2) Megsy clearly cut Wendell off since he wasn’t at the wedding. More likely, he figures he has nothing to lose in telling stories about her when he worked with her on Suits. And he’s right, he doesn’t really have anything to lose.
