I don’t think she’s selling herself in the US to set up her post Harry life. At least not consciously. That’s not how narcs work. They really do convince themselves they’re in love. In the end, the object of their “love” is just a source of narcissistic supply. Harry’s problem is the bigger source of that supply is fame. That’s why she’s going for the US market. That’s where real fame is made. She is desperate for the thing narcs need more than anything which is recognition and validation.
