I think she struck the deal with the merch pre-wedding/pre-engagement. These probably were all signed way before. Hence, when she got in she can say she cant get out of the contract and just use them being canadian brand and brit designer, and wait it out to end. That’s very cunning i think.

That would actually make a lot of sense. Would add up to why she’s allowed to do all this stuff now when it hasn’t been done that much before in previous royal wives but at the same time Meghan’s not a planner, so I can’t see her planning this far ahead with anything especially with all the drama she had leading up to the wedding.
