Celebitchy 2016. I CAN’T! “I understand the businesses are getting something out of it, but perhaps we should stop pretending that Will and Kate are anything other than B-list celebrities getting freebies at every turn? What have Will and Kate done that another celebrity wouldn’t do with a lot less expense to the British taxpayer? Not to mention the French taxpayer every time Will and Kate travel abroad, whether it’s for work or pleasure, the host country picks up the tab for extra security.”

Thank you so much for finding this one!

In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau’s famous motto, “Anyone can cook.” But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau’s, who is, in this critic’s opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau’s soon, hungry for more.

Ratatouille (2007)

Submitted: She graduated…

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Her name appears on the NWU 2003 Commencement program with a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the School of Communication, formerly the School of Speech. It is in a long list of names and you will see the degree if you scroll up slowly, though the formatting is wonky. .

It appears she did not do any double major but a vanilla Communications degree.

US Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill visited Argentina in August 2002 right around her 21st birthday which explains why some articles say 20 and some say 21.

I don’t know if NWU has fall and spring commencement but she likely missed fall commencement deadlines and/or needed a couple more credits and so went for spring commencement even if she had already started auditioning.

ps: several articles stated the internship was 6 weeks not 6 months, which makes more sense.

Thank you for finding that commencement program! I knew I’d seen it around but I couldn’t .

I’d also add that most–if not all–universities and colleges in the US, require you to apply for graduation. You have to prove to the registrar that you have met the requirements for graduation. You do not inadvertently end up on the commencement program by accident.

You don’t need to have a degree to take the civil service exam. You only have to be 18 years old.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Sorry, I meant foreign service. From what I can remember you had to have a bachelor’s and they actually preferred a master’s or even a doctorate.

https://study.com/articles/How_to_Become_a_Foreign_Service_Officer.html

Actually, having a degree isn’t a specific requirement to become a foreign service officer. State Department leaves that door open. It’s statistically unlikely that someone would become a foreign service officer without one though.

Tarot reader update. The Markle mess has been delt with we won’t be hearing from them anymore. Harry having money issues Meghan’s spending has to stop. She’s not happy. Will and Harry have had a falling out Will didn’t agree to this marriage & told Harry he was rushing it that he would regret it. Kate is also not happy about how this has all turned out. Charles & Camilla are ignoring the situation bc Charles is worried about becoming king. Meghan is hiding a bad secret.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Thanks! This sounds like it could be accurate based on that recent leak from Thomas” curiously well-educated “adviser,” and that weird Tom Sykes article attacking Charles. Who is the reader? Is it on YouTube?

Naomi Tarot did a recent one. Much of what is said above seems to be in it.

“Actually, Phillip doesn’t call hm cabbage. He’s been heard to call her “mon chou” or however it’s spelled, which is a common french term of endearment that translates to “my cabbage.”” Can I please correct this as a French person. “Chou” does mean cabbage + the plural of cabbage is “choux” (pronounced the same), but that’s not what he’s calling her. “Choux” is also a word for a kind of puff pastry filled with cream. It gets my goat when people make this translation error. Google “choux pastry”.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

I was wondering about this! Thanks.

It was easy for Kruger to turn Meghan into an humanitarian/feminist. She was a pretty Z-list starlet with a good education and no one cared enough about her to ask questions. No one was pissed off like Harry’s fans are. Now, every PR move is questioned, every speech is analyzed, every photo shot is scrutinized. I don’t think Kruger & Co would do much better than KP in the same situation.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Good point.

Bad day for MM Papa exposed her. This is going to stick too. Going to be hard to play herself as the great humanitarian when Papa has made it clear how cruel she was to him. Headline in UK tab INHUMANE. Think October is going to be even worse.

Well, I wasn’t surprised that another interview with Papa Markle was released this past weekend. This week overall is pretty unfavorable, including this upcoming Saturday and Sunday.

I’m now wondering if there is going to be another round from Papa Markle given that there was an article about Doria moving to the UK to be closer to Megs.

image

I haven’t gotten a chance to read all the recent coverage, but given this article yesterday, I’m now wondering if Papa Markle is going to hit back more with another interview round this weekend. At this point, I suspect the article about Doria moving was just being floated around to see what the reaction was before it actually happens. But I can see Papa Markle being pissed since he’s completely out in the cold at this point.

I wonder if those rumors of Doria being a felon are true. If so, then it could Papa Markle who exposes it by talking about it to the Daily Mail or some other Fleet Street outlet. He could totally talk about it, and then the rest of Fleet Street would have to verify it with legal records. If she really is planning on moving to the UK–and jumping ahead of thousands of other people in the immigration line–then her having a criminal record would be a serious issue I’d imagine.

image

Missy Percy (Chelsy BFF) and Thomas VanStaubanzee (close friend William) got divorced after two yrs for unreasonable behavior. But no actual indication of what the unreasonable behavior was ever was given. Unreasonable behavior in the UK really is the equivalent of irreconcilable differences in the US a kind of catch all. As for annulment- the CoE has all sorts of requirements for vows to be legit like using your legal name – which should have been Rachel and Henry those names were not used.

image

But the royal family is always held to a higher standard with their marriages than the aristocracy and other Brits. I can’t see the CoE allowing an annulment because the dimwits chose to go by their known-by names instead of legal names. But then there has been so much stupid shit with this relationship that I couldn’t have predicted anyway…

Lol HoB, we’re already bored with the Harkles that we’re looking forward to their post-marriage shenanigans. You are right, I keep forgetting Megs is getting all this cos she has Harry’s support. I suppose I still wonder why he’s supporting her, I can’t imagine he was THIS desperate. Anyway, cheers.

There isn’t much left for these two to accomplish. All that’s left prior to a dissolution of marriage is an obliteration of these two (or perhaps just Megsy) by Fleet Street.

Unpublished Egyptian texts reveal new insights into ancient medicine

archaeologicalnews:

The University of Copenhagen in Denmark is home to a unique collection of Ancient Egyptian papyrus manuscripts.

A large part of the collection has not yet been translated, leaving researchers in the dark about what they might contain.

“A large part of the texts are still unpublished. Texts about medicine, botany, astronomy, astrology, and other sciences practiced in Ancient Egypt,” says Egyptologist Kim Ryholt, Head of the Carlsberg Papyrus Collection at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

An international team of researchers are now translating the previously unexplored texts, which according to one of the researchers, contain new and exciting insights into Ancient Egypt. Read more.

Did you see some of those pathetic MM fans in Kate’s tag this last few days ? they say they don’t care about Kate but yet they continue to post disgusting comments and there is even one anon that constantly puts Kate down because she loves to take care of her children more then anything else. They are so threatened and obsessed it’s just sad at this point. And when someone calls them out then they block anonymous questions. If you can’t deal with hate comments then don’t post hate comments.

Debt: A Reading List

newyorker:

“My Misspent Youth”

“I’m twenty-nine years old, and I am completely over my head in debt. I have not made a life for myself; I have purchased a life for myself.”

“A Student-Debt Revolt Begins”

“Corinthian Colleges’ downfall has come to be seen as a symbol of the ills of for-profit higher education—the false promises of employment, the mounting student debt, the aggressive collection tactics.”

“Killing It”

“A generation has inherited a world without being able to live in it. A young college graduate might now find herself in a position akin to a homeowner with negative equity.”

“Pay Up”

“In the greater Buffalo metropolitan area, more than five thousand people earn a living as debt collectors. That’s more than the number of taxi-drivers, bakers, butchers, steelworkers, roofers, crane operators, hotel clerks, and brick masons combined.”

“The Scold”

“Mr. Money Mustache is the alias of a forty-one-year-old Canadian expatriate named Peter Adeney, who made or, more to the point, saved enough money in his twenties, working as a software engineer, to retire at age thirty.”

“Take the Money and Run”

“A universal basic income, or U.B.I., is a fixed income that every adult—rich or poor, working or idle—automatically receives from the government. Unlike today’s means-tested or earned benefits, payments are usually the same size, and arrive without request.”

(CDAN) Blind Item #5 What nobody is talking about in this A+ list divorce is how broke this former A+ list mostly movie actress is. She has spent almost every dollar she has ever earned because she couldn’t control her crazy spending. Hundreds of millions of dollars. She is like the female Johnny Depp minus the rock star fetish and the beating of women. Spanking yes, but no beatings.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

I think that’s the one I was thinking of.

(Angelina Jolie) http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2018/08/blind-item-5_9.html?m=1

I don’t find this surprising at all. AJ has always had a huge ego and spending track record.

And there was no real reason she needed a $25 million house, particularly considering her career has been on a downturn for quite a while.

From M’s wedding speech: “Markle is incredibly close to her mother, and Nicholl said that, “I do know that she thanked her mother, not just for being there today, but for being there for her entire life. . . . It’s unclear if she made mention about her father, who was embroiled in a paparazzi controversy in the lead-up to the wedding before falling ill.” << <<< Mummy was there for M's "ENTIRE LIFE"? Yeah, except from ages 11 – 17.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Yep, it’s really interesting how all the anecdotes about the doll family, the feminist letters, and the “check-your-own box” are about the dad.

Yep. This is not a good look either. They are all horrible people and the worst part is that they are all horrible IN THE SAME WAY and they don’t seem to realize it. You can tell that they are all related.
