Apart from love, what is your opinion why Harry did all of this? Remember he said in a few years it will be all Charlotte / George and no one interested in him. Is he trying to establish himself as a huge celebrity so he won’t wane when they are in the spotlight? Was that the plan?

I think 99% of this relationship is efforts on both sides to keep the spotlight and remains relevant. He was aging soon-to-be-minor royal and she was an aging soon-to-be-even-more-obscure little-known actress. They both had the same problems and they became each other’s solution. 

The constant in this relationship is that these two adore the limelight. They love leaking “upcoming” attractions and giving hints. They started with the spooning bananas and love bracelets, graduated to facialist pap walks and ruffled dresses, and are now giving baby gender hints through rings and crap. They ADORE this infantile crap.

This must be their number 1 priority. If you think about it, they haven’t gotten that many goodies (although Meghan hypes what they do get to the skies). The wedding was basic, the jewelry seems to be all Birks, the clothes are merching, the titles and positions are meaningless, their home is from Soho House, the family “visits” all seem to be more “let’s not and say we did” than actual visits with photos, etc… 

What they do get is media events. TONS of them. That’s their main priority.

I’m really, really, REALLY pissed off by this latest incident and how Fijians are being portrayed in the aftermath of it. Islanders are among some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life and drawing on my own experiences, they would never, ever knowingly hurt or scare anyone, let alone Royalty. Their excitement obviously got the better of them (God knows why!) but if the security had just told them to quieten down and respect Meghan’s space, they likely would’ve done so without question.

Ironically, the whole point of that visit was to show off a program that created safe markets for women. I love how Meghan consistently undermines her own charity visits.

NN;s visit to the marketplace was cut short allegedly due to security concerns because of overcrowding. But even Emily Andrews is saying the market was NOT over crowded and pics bear that out. So why was the visit cut short? Megsy didn’t like mixing with the peasants?

In the DM article linked above, there’s a short video snippet where Meghan can be seen saying something to her assistant/private secretary shortly before they decided to leave. I think MM just had enough [unjustifably] and wanted to end the engagement.

Meghan’s speech is really annoying to me bc how can she say that her family didn’t help pay for school? Her dad would pick her up from school in a LIMO but he didn’t help with college?? I call BS. As someone who actually has to pay for school with no family contribution, it’s just really annoying when people say that they had it rough when they don’t really know what it’s like

I’m more annoyed by the fact that the whole point of the speech was to announce that one of the Queen’s patronages was making new grants for female staff members. Somehow, Meghan managed to make it all about herself.

she only stayed n the market less than 10 minutes and did not meet with the women who had been assigned and were waiting. Since the “crowd” reason did not wash KP is now coming up with more excuses including “it was hot” Yeah well it is Fiji of course it is hot. Rebecca English is also saying KP over reacted.

I find it interesting that PH missed out on this particular dinner, a) due to the “tour”, b) IG was scheduled during this time too and yet the games are being held in Netherlands 2020 (I’m pretty sure) so all this timing seems a little too off IMO. You’d think PH technically should be there (good IG PR) and IG was scheduled 1st, then the rest afterward. So unless someone in the KP office is messing up the scheduling, I think it’s too coincidental but idk…

I don’t think it’s a coincidence. I don’t expect Harry and Megs to be at the Polish state visit in January. Meg’s bellycupping at the Fijian state dinner last night perfectly demonstrates that those two aren’t suitable to be at a British state banquet.

That says everything that needs to be said about the DoSex, frankly. Even when they are representing the Queen at the most formal events it’s all about them and their personal soap opera.

Let me give you a fun fact about lainey. I used to check her gossip site. Lainey HATES BELLYCUPPING. Check all the pregnant celeb or wife of celeb post and youll see how she hates it. You can just imagine my shock when all of a sudden she like Markles baby cradling and that she is doing it very early on. She would have hated it, if she’s not paid. RE: MM’s earrings in Fiji. So KP says “borrowed”, but does not say from whom. Usually if it’s TQ’s they confirm it. On Emily’s twitter there’s a guess it’s Camilla’s Saudi jewellery. If it’s so, it proves why KP does not confirm the origin. It’s THE WORST possible moment to wear Saudi’s gems. But is Camilla really that shady to give Saudi’s jewels right now? Did PH guilt PC into giving this loan, because TQ did not loan anything?

I’m not big on comparing Meghan and Kate; they’re each who they are and as much as we may disagree with that sometimes, we must also respect it. But in saying that, never has the divide between the two been more glaringly obvious than after last night’s event. The difference between how Kate conducted herself at the Norwegian state dinner while pregnant with Louis, and how Meghan was yesterday (bump cradling and whatnot), is so stark that it’s hard to think they’re representing the same thing.

Will and Kate are representing the monarchy and Meghan and Harry are off doing some weird taxpayer-funded celeb thing.

Can we talk about the difference between the two state events? Its the difference between wannabe fame and real monarchy. Queen Maxima is the intelligent, outgoing, “empowered” (see that Meghan), titled partner that the current Duchess of Sussex is never going to be. BTW i really want to be a fly on the wall when the post-tour debrief happens. Has Samantha “the panther” Cohen started pulling her hair out yet? :)

Because she’s family. That’s why I’m so baffled whenever an anon says that Meghan will be excluded from a wedding or a state banquet or anything. If Princess Michael isn’t excluded, then Meghan Markle isn’t going to be excluded.

Meghan is more high profile than Princess Michael though. 

I think the real question is whether or not Buckingham Palace wants moments like the photo below in their state banquets.

Because if Megs attends the Polish state banquet, you know she will.

MM is still arching her back & pushing her stomach out. Those earrings are most likely borrowed from a “celeb” friend or even the vendor themselves. Remember she never got to walk the Golden Globes/Oscars which stars get loans on jewels, remember Nicole Kidman’s awkward “seal” clap lol those rings were on loan & she didn’t want to damage them. HM didn’t congrats them on her pregnancy let alone lent her earrings. I think that’s why she “merching”. No loans, her attitude is ill make money then. 🙄

It’s strange that in the photos of them boarding the plane when she’s in the red dress Harry isn’t even in the same frame let alone being gripped by her arms. When the cameras are off (or semi-off) they go for their alone time?

The pda is just for show. The other thing that struck me is that this would be the one time she would be justified in carrying a purse and she was carrying nothing. Those are just for show too.

Oh Plant, wait until you see the outfit she’s wearing this afternoon. Just when we thought her fashion sense couldn’t possibly get any worse, she shows up in a dress that’s not only bordering on see-through in the sun but also has a split so far up her thigh that I’d not be surprised if she accidentally flashed her knickers at some point! This tour has well and truly gone beyond farcical now.

I think today EVERYONE agrees: this dress is very inappropriate for meeting people and an engagement. So many options to look cute and comfy yet dress for the job. I also feel most people are already getting tired of holding her “baby bump”, girl please. She’s not the first nor the last to be pregnant 🙄 The media is definitely not helping at all, making MM and Harry’s ego grow even more when most people are over this tour. Thankful for the state visit with Queen Maxima!

I just wanted to say, as someone who is currently studying medicine and hopes to go into obstetrics, one of the things I’ve learnt is that doctors prescribe women who have severe HG the same anti nausea medication they prescribe patients undergoing certain types of chemotherapy. That’s how bad HG can get. And yet Kate gets shit for being so physically unwell she was hospitalized. Meghan seems to be tired, takes a day off during an expensive tour, and nobody says jack.
