Today’s event was hard to watch. I no longer believe MM is fooling or has fooled Harry. Something else is at play. But even for an “arrangement”, she’s the wrong fit, and she’s blundered into a big mistake. She’s “leveraged” herself into a dead end. It’ll be a disaster, and it’s painful to see. I don’t see him as a victim because he could a) call it off, and b) get some courage and live honestly as someone mentioned. I don’t know his secrets, but there’s something fishy here.

The sugars think anything MeAgain does is empowering and feminist whilst anything Kate does is “unsuitable”. Oh how deluded they are. From Morton’s book, you can tell how MM never really had to work that hard as she had her uncle hand her the embassy internship and her dad/Trevor w the Hollywood connections. No wonder she thinks she’s so great, she probably thinks that she’s so special that everyone and everything in the world must make concessions to accommodate Her Royal Highness.

But I was wondering what you/other anons think about the consequences of Meghan’s “interest” in Diana is in relation to Charles/Camilla? I mean, if she had the book, copies her etc, Meghan must have felt something about Charles and Camilla before or even after she met them, right?!

I don’t think she had any preconceived notions about Charles and Camilla, at least regarding the infidelity. I know it’s going to sound strange, so bear with me.

I’m actually re-reading the Google Books excerpts on Morton’s Diana book to try to remember what that book felt like. I know the public outcry over it was what it revealed about Charles’ infidelity, but the book itself is, imo, not about that.

It’s mostly a huge martyr trip for Di and Charles is not even the starring player. It starts with her dad and mom and the divorce and how different that made her feel. There’s a lot of stuff about her siblings and school. I suspect that would be the part that would draw in someone like Meghan. That and the fame and adulation parts.

So I don’t think Meghan would have much of an opinion on Charles other than “oh, cold fish and cold parent and OMG Harry my parents mistreated me too!!!!!!!!” I don’t think she would resent Charles and Camilla for the adultery. That part of the story likely didn’t make much difference to her. The whole “poor mistreated Di became an icon through fashion and charity work” would be the part that appealed to her.

NZ Rag has headline MM’s Racy Past Watch out Harry and AUS has headline MM Runaway Bride. Fox News snarked their way through the no dignitaries invited. Radar Online published a horrendous pic of her with “Greedy for Fame” headline. Lower tier rags but the tide has for sure turned. And rumors of racy pics on Friday.

This is eerily like the “Emperor’s New Clothes” fable. Everyone stands around pretending that the clothes look fantastic until a lone, brave soul stands up and shouts the truth. Then everyone goes, “oh, yes, he was naked all the time.”

The most intriguing part of that interview, however, was this:

LOL, all that fake hugging was for naught. I think Morton’s being very insightful here. This is what’s going to sink Meghan. She’s an activist, not a carer, and people can tell. The BF doesn’t have any space for an activist.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up on this one. Morton’s book comes out in five days, so it’s already finished. Even in the US, he probably couldn’t print such a claim unless he actually named the men involved, and I don’t see that happening.
