Meghan is stupid. Her wedding dress will ultimately go down as boxy and potentially ill-fitting. The exquisite tailoring on Kate’s McQueen dress is more evident in comparison.
Moreover, choosing a French label instead of a British or Commonwealth one? Absolute PR fail. They keep trying to push the designer’s name Clare Waight Keller), but it’s who Waight Keller works for and who made it that is official. No one says Kate’s dress was a Sarah Burton dress!

LOL, I thought the bright day would make for wonderful pics, but it was actually the reverse. The bright sun and blinding white of the dress and veil made everything look washed-out and oddly creepy. She looks like Ghost Bride in one of those pics.
And the media will tell us that not wearing a bra is the most chic statement ever and we should pity poor, tradition-bound Kate who is stuck supporting her boobsies in pricey La Perla. Hooray, Meghan is modernizing the monarchy one saggy nipple at a time!!!!
I’m very biased as I am not exactly meghans number one fan but to me it seems like there was such a marked difference between will and Kate’s wedding and Harry and Meghan. Will and Kate’s wedding seemed like such a joyous, family affair- you could tell there was real affection between will and the Middletons and vice versus. And such excitement- you could almost feel it buzzing out of the tv.
Kate looked so much more regal and poised- from the way she held her bouquet, to the fit of her dress (even including the pointy nips) to the way that will and her held hands on the way out of the church.
Meghan is a class A example of not being able to polish a dog turd. And you can’t even throw glitter at it.
Her dress like every single thing she has worn to date- fitted like absolute crap. I have come to the conclusion that she is such a hideous nightmare to be around that the fashion houses are getting some poor intern to fit her clothes. The fit of her dress today was pure amateur time. I’ve seen first year students at fashion college fit clothes better than her wedding dress. I would die if my name was attached to it. Everything- from the fit of the sleeves down to the hem was a mess. Does she not think that these photos will be pulled out for the rest of time? It’s so maddening.
You can tell she was worried about falling over her hem as the front of the dress was taken up above the height of the tips of her shoes. Kate’s dress hit the floor as she had the ability to kick her dress forward as she walked.
And I wasn’t a fan of her veil. It was far too long for something so bland. What was the point in her page boys carrying it? The thing was light and it just looked stupid being picked up.
Well done on calling everything about her look though.
Oh- and the flower girls needed a wide ribbon around the waist and tied in a big bow to give the cheap off the rack dresses a bit of life.
On a positive note- Charlotte is the cutest thing ever. She’s such a character. And Doria looked lovely in her yellow suit and hat.

Disclaimer: This is a very negative review of the wedding so if you are a H&M stan or just don’t want negativity around don’t read beyond. I am very angry and need this out.
I absolutely hated this wedding. I watched this wedding at 4 pm and was really excited. I was so mad that I just decided to sleep after and not waste time breaking my laptop.
For starters lets remember why I was excited. George and Charlotte. THERE WAS ONLY A SECOND OF THEM. Their trashy media coverage limitation made it difficult to get better angles of the babies and I barely saw their faces. I watched the wedding and I could barely see them. Them on the steps was my favorite part of the wedding. The coverage was so awful that I barely saw Kate another person I was here for. We saw more George and Charlotte and Pippa’s wedding. So disappointed.
Let’s talk about the wedding itself. HORRIFIC. My family members have better weddings than this. The dress was hideous (though like @gabbygrl247 said the veil was beautiful). The creepy smiles when the Archbishop asked if there is any reason they can’t wed. It was cringey. The hand holding and the laughs, just no. The sermon, and music was cheesy and awful.(The Stand By Me, barf). Though I did love the Cello and the music when she walked up the aisle.
The carriage ride was so relevant and desperate. If there was going to be the carriage ride then let me see GEORGE AND CHARLOTTE. Although I think Kate looked gorgeous. She was GALOWING!
THERE WAS NOTHING ROYAL ABOUT THIS WEDDING! I just loved the George and Charlotte part and the one second we got of the Cambridges.
Anyways, Congrats to Harry and Meghan and I hate their faces for the rest of my life.

As a wedding planner I got the creeps on several parts especially the fucking veil catching onto everything. Did she not practice in it days leading up to it. This was well beyond amateur hour at the church.
Meghan’s dress emphasizes that she has no waist. Why would you wear something like that??? It looks like one giant sheet of cloth that no one bothered to take in around her torso.

My “Good” post mostly consisted of looks that were appropriate to the occasion, but just oddly sized or sourced. The Bad post will be looks that were correctly executed but just weird-ass choices for royal engagements. As you can see, A LOT of these looks fall into this category.
The first look in this post is Nottingham. This was the first appearance after the white bathrobe. The expectations were really high and the end result was total flop. We almost never see pics from Nottingham and there’s a good reason for that.
Her hair was fine and the coat (wonder of wonders) actually fit! Everything, however, was too dark and dreary. This was her first “villainous henchman” look as she looked like she was accompanying General Hux on a planet-destroying mission or something. The boots were just completely awful. They looked like hooves.
The “Spectre employee” look would go on to become a recurring theme, as would the “channeling fashion icon X” phenomenon. This time it was CBK, but we would go on to have Audrey Hepburn, Kate Middleton, Diana, and Jackie O looks. This was also the first “prop handbag” sighting, a theme that Meghan will hammer into the ground in future engagements. She only let go of it when the DM finally mocked her on their front page.
Then we had Sandringham and the immortal poo emoji hat. Like the looks I listed in the “Good” post, this was another attempt to channel regalness. It failed, no only because of the ridiculousness of the hat and the purse and the whole “costume” look going on but also because she walked right next to Kate’s glorious Christmas coat giving everyone a perfect “real” vx. “fake” moment.
I still have no idea why she went with browns for Christmas.
The “poo emoji” phenomenon was real, though. Everyone pretty much thought the same thing when they saw that hat.
I’m sticking Brighton into the “Ugly” post, so I’m going to skip right into Cardiff and THE ULTIMATE Spectre henchman look. She legit looks like a Call of Duty enemy sniper.
LOL, I remember wondering why her bun was so messy here. Little did I know it would actually get worse. I think this is the first time that Meghan’s hair really undermines her look, as this Hello cover illustrates.
I still have not clue why she likes the all-black look so much. She’d used it again in Brixton so this was her second all-black look. Whyyyyyyy?
This was the outfit that was mocked by the Daily Mail front page. The mismatched earrings (remember those!) really jumped the shark with this one.
I’m sticking the inside look into the “Ugly” post, so let’s move on to the Endeavor awards. Her looks had been underwhelming at this point, but I think this was the first real disappointment for Meghan’s sugar press. They were expecting a pretty dress and they got a bland tux instead.
This was the first big downgrade in Meghan’s fashion headlines. Before this, the press would label anything she wore (no matter how hideous ) as “stunning” and “iconic.” This tux, however, was labeled “chic” and “elegant.” This is another look that went into the memory hole, but not before giving rise to countless “missing Suits?” “well-suited,” and “it suits” her puns all bringing her Hollywood background back into the spotlight.
It also didn’t help that Kate had recently worn a glorious McQueen outfit in Sweden, giving rise to unfavorable comparisons.
Another sniper look! This was Birmingham. I’m going to stick the inside look in the “Ugly” post so I don’t really have much to say abut this one, other than cross bracelet merching, ugh. Also, I guess this is where she got mud on her shoes?
What I find amazing about these outfits is that, as with the “Halo” dress, she consistently reinforces her “Hollywood” brand and misses opportunities to develop a “royal” brand.
Another odd thing is that when she’s not consciously imitating a royal (as in the “Good” post outfits), she consistently looks like a Hollywood action movie villain–dark colors, trench coats, stilettos.
Well, that’s it for their engagements, so let’s break down what we’ve got from Meghan so far. I’m going to get the shortest section of this post out of the way first, so the best looks go first and the total fug goes last.
THE GOOD
Engagement photocall. I know I laughed at the bathrobe pics, but now I think this is possible her BEST looks of all. Yes, the shoes were dirty, the hair and make-up was meh, and the Deal or No Deal pose was unintentionally hilarious, but it’s the only one of her pics that is still in heavy rotation, and, in retrospect, it was probably the best one of all. This was her “I’m trying to be a royal, y’all” look and it wasn’t a total failure.
It was also the one pic that her press unabashedly liked. After this came out, they started calling her “style icon in waiting.” LOLOLOL, little did they know what was coming up.
It didn’t fit and she failed the dress code and the hat looked like a pimple on her head, but she did manage to look like she at least tried to look like a royal. This was a 100% repliKate fail, but, at least she tried.
Dumpy, frumpy and it made her look like she was a thousand years old, but this Sophie cosplay was appropriate.
The shoes didn’t match and wtf with the juvenile astrology purse, but the hair was relatively neat and she looked appropriate, which is no surprise since she was channeling Letizia.
I think that’s it for the Good. These were her most successful looks. They were appropriate and her hair was relatively well styled. They were all uninspired and based on well-established royal looks, but there’s nothing wrong with that. If Meghan just downloaded Letizia’s wardrobe and faithfully copied from here on, she’d do fine.
Unfortunately, she isn’t doing that, which means she’s still susceptible to mess ups like this one.
This was fine and it kind of looked like a Kate dress. Even with the slut strands and Deal or No Deal pose (what is it with that show, it’s like she can’t shake off the training of something) this should have been an okay look for her.
I think the Halo dress perfectly summed up Meghan ‘s efforts to develop her royal “brand.” It’s amazing how well she fits into People’s red carpet celeb slideshow. You can hardly tell that she was attending a diplomatic receptions and not the opening of a box office bomb.
She tried to go for a repliKate, and ended wearing Kim Kardashian’s 2007 dress. No matter how hard she tried, somehow she always managed to slide back into generic celebrity style.

She really doesn’t understand what the job of a royal is. Truly. Attending these events will be her future job if she makes it to the altar, but she thinks they’ll all be red carpet walks.
Her fashion fail just astounds me. She really doesn’t understand what she’s dressing for. Can’t wait to see what she wears on Anzac Day at the memorial service.
I truly thought that they wouldn’t hold hands today because, you know, professionalism, but I was wrong.

I can understand that because some of these dress codes are pretty subtle, but she was sold as someone who would have all the “performance” skills necessary for the job and she totally doesn’t. Everything she wears is somehow “off”–party dresses for diplomatic events, funeral dresses for birthday celebrations, costumey clothes for Christmas, etc…
And that dress looks like it doesn’t fit her either. Very baggy.
Well, Harry knows the protocol. He’s been going to these things all his life. Why doesn’t he say something?
Like, if she was going to wear a sleeveless dress, then at least she should be wearing a jacket/coat/blazer. Could have recycled that blazer from last week, but no.
I simply do not understand the hair at all. She can make it look good for the Queen’s events and for CHOGM, but she just won’t bother for Reprezent and the Stephen Lawrence memorial? Is that it?

OMG. It’s so bad it’s amazing. I honestly could never have thought something like this up. I’m not much of a fashionista–I’m a slob–but it’s just so bad that I can’t help but wonder what the Kensington Palace staffers think and talk about her when she’s not around. Like, they know she looks bad, but they’re not going to tell her or something. It’s such an emperor’s new clothes moment.
I will never defend the Erdem because it’s freaking fug. However, even I have to admit that they are fashionable evening gowns and are appropriate for the occasion.
