Hey 🙂 So I do indeed keep a break down of how many pieces are repeats. How I do it is everything she wears is a piece in itself so if she wears the same watch at two events it’s counted as two items. And I also keep a record of how many have been worn before. Then I work out percentages. The only thing not included is unidentified pieces. I also keep a record of British brands so if I can’t identify the designer then I don’t include it at all. Luckily for Kate and Meghan there are very few unidentified pieces because they’re so closely followed. So these are Kate’s figures:
2018 (so far, not including yesterday because I haven’t done it yet): 65%
2017: 64%
2016: 56%
2015: 69%
2014: 63%
2013: 65%
2012: 45%
2011: 29%
Meghan’s repeat rate right now is 26% (again, a few days still to catch up on so that might change). So it is lower than Kate’s but not by a considerable amount. I think next year is the year to look out for as you’ll be able to see if her repeat rate stays low or if she was building up her wardrobe with the intent of repeating more things next year. Also in case anyone’s interested Sophie’s repeat rate is way sketchier in terms of accuracy but it’s way over 80%
I may compile a more detailed record so that people can see an entire year piece by piece to see where the number comes from.
The movement for a $15-an-hour minimum wage got a boost earlier this month when Amazon – which has drawn criticism for its pay practices and working conditions – announced it would raise its base pay for all U.S. workers to $15 an hour. The new minimum wage takes effect Nov. 1 and will affect some 250,000 full- and part-time employees, as well as the 100,000 or so seasonal workers Amazon expects to hire in the next few months, according to the company. (The raises will be offset, at least in part, by the phasing out of bonuses and stock awards for hourly workers.)
How much of a real improvement those workers will see in their daily lives, however, depends very much on where they live.
PR anon again. She used the wedding the same way. Givenchy paid for the pr. Givenchy got millions in free advertising. The question is why is the BRF cooperating with her? They know. Did stupid Harry think he had a real possibility here and forced it? Probably. He is sure learning a lesson. Everything she does is scripted. And it is all for money. I am dubious on the pregnancy. We’ll see.
oh and (pr anon) she ’ll cancel events for drama. She can’t cancel much cause she has to display the garbage she is paid to wear. I’d bet there won’t be anymore cancellations. Don’t get distracted. The real show is her money making scam. And how the RF handles her. They will take a passive low risk approach they have all along. First wait for Harry to see his error. Second let her reveal what she is. Self destruct.
Day 5: casual outfit alone is a few thousand, add the two designer dresses, hat, shoes, bag but don’t forget the earrings: at full price, we’re already at what £40k?
Her earrings today are C$22,000 full price (now 50% sale)
Seeing that Meghan wore a new pair of nude stilettos yesterday in Australia, I had to sit down and count how many (and how expensive) pairs of nude and black stilettos she’s bought since engagement announcement because it totally looks like she buys a new pair for every outing. I thought I’d share it with you, guys, because when I tallied up the total, my jaw landed on the floor and it still lays there.
Starting with nude because she seems to wear only nude pumps now (black in spring/summer, nude in fall/winter, definitely not merching next season clothing)
$395 – Nude Tamara Mellon worn once in Australia
$375 – Nude Stuart Weitzman worn twice – in Sussex and Australia
$750 – Nude Aquazzura worn once, at Sentebale polo match
$655 – Nude Dior worn once, at Mandela museum
The same pair of nude Dior stilettos but in suede and bespoke, previous one was leather, worn once at RAF service.
Nude Paul Andrew, not available yet, worn once, in Ireland
$625 – Nude Manolo Blahnik worn twice – at Stephen Lawrence memorial and Commonwealth Youth reception
$450 – Nude Tamara Mellon worn once, at BP garden party
$695 – Nude Aquazzura worn once, at engagement announcement
It’s circa $4,7k with estimated prices of bespoke Dior and two pairs of Paul Andrew stilettos (they retail for around $600-$700). I was being generous and I didn’t count in the Stuart Weitzman pairs because she supposedly owned them before and worn them at IG 2017 opening and closing ceremonies. I’ve also counted down the Aquazzura engagement pair because she owned them for quite a while before the announcement.
Now black:
$395 – Black Sarah Flint worn thrice – at Anzac dawn service, cookbook launch and on arrival to Australia
$750 – Black Aquazzura worn twice – at WellChild and CoachCore
$590 – Black Aquazzura worn four times (a record!) – in Ireland, at solo engagement, at engagement with Queen and Harry and at van Straubenzee wedding.
Black Paul Andrew, not available yet, worn once, in Ireland
Black Paul Andrew – same as previous ones but different fabric – worn once, at Hamilton
$355 – Black Sarah flint worn once, at engagement with Queen
$650 – Black Givenchy worn once, at Ascot
$625 – Black Manolo Blahnik worn four times (it’s a tie!) – at Endeavour Awards, Invictus engagement with Prime Minister of Australia, Anzac Day service at WA and to the STEM event in Birmingham
$750 – Black Aquazzura, worn once, at Commonwealth reception
$475 – Black Tamara Mellon, worn once, at Commonwealth reception
$750 – Black Aquazzura, worn once, at Royal Foundation Forum
It’s $6,5k for black stilettos, once again with estimated costs of Paul Andrew stilettos.
So, Meghan has spend (or was given) $11k for 20 pairs of only nude and black 4inch stilettos in the last 11 months. I don’t even want to think what one can buy for this amount of money but it is ridiculous. The highest number of recycles is 4! Kate has worn those horrible L.K. Bennett Sledge for 3 or 4 years. I would really like to know what she’s doing with those shoes, are the dogs playing with them? Remember when we thought she’ll leave NC with bags full of Cartier? She’d rather prefer her stilettos
Thanks for sending this in!
She’s wearing another sleeveless navy dress. At least it’s an Australian designer, but, holy guacamole, she must be buying a new sleeveless navy dress every month.
Sorry for the long absence, guys. Sadly, blogging will continue to be sporadic until after the US midterm elections. I have a ton of work to do until then and it’s a lot more important than royal anything. By the way, if you’re a United States reader, remember to go vote on November 6th!!!!
But I’m still pretty obsessive about the blog, so here are some thoughts on the past few weeks.
The boots came back! Kate wore her trusty Penelope Chilvers on her first post-maternity engagement. I thought this event was spot on. she looked casual but perfectly groomed and she was great with the kids (I loved the cup-holding Duchess). She just kind of stepped back and let the kids and the charity shine.
Meghan then wore some hideous leather skirt to Sussex. I’ve been bitching about Letizia’s tacky leather skirts for years, so I obviously hated this. Meghan is truly amazing, though. She managed to wrinkle leather, which I didn’t think was possible. This is also her third nearly-identical green ensemble.
Then Kate wore an Erdem dress I actually liked. We must be entering end times. I love that the dress was inspired by the Queen. That (and the POC plaid) was a nice touch. I liked the plum pumps and clutch, but hated the earrings (which were also Erdem, so I still get to say that I hated something Erdem).
That dress outglammed Meghan’s fug black Givenchy in every single way. Same thing happened at Eugenie’s wedding with Kate’s semi-recycled raspberry dress outshining Meghan’s maternity funeral-wear.
I see a lot of Kate fans taking the “real queens fix each other’s crowns” high road on twitter. I think that’s partly because they are genuinely nice people (far nicer than me!), and partly because this is not a competition at this point.
Eugenie’s wedding was lovely and heartwarming. The groom, was too cute and the bride was gorgeous. I loved the colors (the tiara had emeralds!), absolutely adored the unusual floral arrangements (chinese lanterns! York roses! Blue thistles!), appreciated all the details honoring Eugenie’s family and heritage, and enjoyed the nods to their charity endeavors. Andrew hovering around like a mother hen was adorable, and Fergie and Bea looked gorgeous. Fergie’s carousel party looked like a lot of fun. It was heads and shoulders above the über-basic Pinterest wedding the Sussexes put up.
And speaking of, this how the Sussexes showed up in Australia. They look like a hot mess. Is it me, or is Harry’s bald spot huuuuuuge now?
I still can’t believe they are being this irresponsible, but this is Meghan to a T. She’s on a schedule and she won’t let anything, not even her baby’s health, stand between her and her goal.
And that’s not counting the money wasted on all her clothes when she could have bought local designers.
But let’s not forget that she said she wanted to “hit the ground running.”
If they wanted an easier tour, then they could have just attended all of the Invictus Games. But I think they didn’t want to attend all the Invictus Games events and support the veterans. So, instead, the Foreign Office had to make them look like they were doing something worthwhile for the all the taxpayer dollars spent on their travel. Hence, the visits to Tonga and Fiji.
I wouldn’t word it as strongly as that. She is harboring some sort of resentment
and feels like they are being pesky in holding her back from doing as
she wishes. There is very little will for cooperation or, as an anon so
aptly put it, compromise on her part. As the contrasting spreads on her and Harry showed in the reading – Meghan puts her own needsbefore even those of her own husband’s, let alone his family or “job”.
The MoeNay®
is beyond me. Whether it is a mix of what people call “merching” and
actual purchases…? It’s way over Wemps’ interest. There are other
bloggers far better at it than I. Would however agree that the tally is
rather on the atrocious side! It really is very curious that she chooses to carry on in this manner. But then again, remember the steamrolling KoW in my reading? -The person in that card believes they are entitled to whatever it is they are pursuing. They’ve got their blinders on and may step on toes getting to wherever it is they are trying to get to. Might come off as arrogance.
PR anon. I like to try and educate by exposing the game Markle is playing in the hopes that people will see just how pernicious PR is and how manipulated they are. Avoid the divisiveness and denial the political content creates by just using her as the example. It is still an uphill battle. Take the recent spate of articles allegedly about her in People this week. You always see a bunch of thinly disguised adverts for the shit she wears after an engagement. Pt 1
Pt 2 These are ads – she is basically endorsing the brand and gets paid for the use of her name as well as a % of the sales made. People gets a % too. It looks like a story but it is an ad and usually there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the page. You do not see this with Kate BTW. Also, she pumps fake stories like this pregnancy garbage out to maintain anticipation keep the interest up. None of it is true it is just a standard PR technique. MM is a hustler and con artist.
Megs has such short-term thinking. She’s only thinking about what she has to say to look good regarding Sam being in the UK.
She doesn’t and can’t think further down the road to when angry mobs are protesting about frivolous spending, like hers. And yet, she thinks she’s some kind of pr genius.
And political
situations like this are exactly why Kate and the rest of the royal family
dress “conservatively.” Because their job is to be a stable influence and not
be flashy or constantly show off wealth.
If the Brexit
situation doesn’t get better, then I think it’ll be a sure bet that there will
be articles critiquing Meg’s couture wardrobe on the tour. Given the possible
political situation, the articles practically write themselves. It’s basically
a no brainer. If it gets bad enough, then perhaps we would see an aide go
shopping for Megs to buy something cheap and local when they’re in Australia. But I doubt Megsy would
want to do that. She’ll probably want to stick to her guns about whatever Jessica Mulroney has brought over and arranged.
And that leaves an
opening for anyone to explicitly expose whatever is truly going on whether it’s an ex-friend or someone else. It could be that Brexit talks tank even further in mid-to-late October, and then we start reading articles on Megs and/or Harry in November.
The “its an issue when it’s separate” line was about RPOs. Not about cars. So if Doria is standing away from Meghan at an event and has an RPO with her, that’s an issue. But if the RPO is with Meghan and Doria happens to be standing next to her, that’s fine.
The transportation thing, is another issue. Harry and Meghan’s travel is taxpayer funded when they’re at work because they are public representatives. Doria is not entitled to use those means of transportation. Harry and Meghan’s private vehicles that they use in their private time are not taxpayer funded and Doria could totally ride in one of those. So her riding in the car with Harry and Meghan is her using taxpayer funded means of travel which is not okay. What should have happened is that she should have arrived separately from them in one of Harry’s private cars. Does that make sense?
I’m not going to harbor any guesses as to what could or couldn’t come out. Since you mentioned it, I think the UK press doing an article about the merching with Jessica Mulroney is probably a big possibility. Megs will probably be wearing different, expensive, couture ensembles multiple times a day. Writing about the huge cost of her wardrobe for that tour practically writes itself. It’s a 16-day tour. By day 7 the press will already have seen almost half of it. Multiple articles could easily be written. And it will be very easy to point out that Kate works with a much smaller budget.
I know that tarot readers have said that secrets will be revealed–as in things Megs is hiding that Harry doesn’t know about–but I’m not convinced that those are the kinds of things that will instantly come out in the press. It’s certainly possible. But it could be just revealed to Harry and the royal family and not the press at that stage. Perhaps the press just writes about it later. We’ll just have to see.
Here are two of Naomi Tarot’s most recent readings regarding Meghan’s secret.
Oh there are a ton of hypocrisies in the situation that I won’t list because people already know them but the thing that’s most troublesome is that she arrived in their taxpayer funded means of travel despite having no right to. She is not our representative. I love Doria but transparency about the spending of our unelected officials and trust between the public and the royals is a bigger thing than one individual and given that this is the third time in their relationship Harry and Meghan have misused taxpayer funds, I am sighing right now. I hate to be that person that drags everyone back down to earth but royals don’t exist to be cute and adorable. They have a job and as part of that job they have set terms that they have to stick by- letting your relatives who aren’t representatives of the country use taxpayer funded means of travel is not sanctioned and totally inappropriate. It was inappropriate when Chris O’Neill did it in Sweden and I called him out then, so I’m doing it here too.
Are you kidding right now? It was probably like a two minute car ride! Should Doria have walked?
I can understand if they travelled a long distance, but that car drove like…500 yards… It’s not that deep.
It doesn’t matter if it’s one penny or one million pounds. You don’t get away with misusing public funds just because you could theoretically misuse them in a more serious way. If something’s wrong you don’t excuse it entirely just because the person could have done something more serious. If I stabbed someone and they didn’t die they don’t say “well you could have killed them and you didn’t so we’ll just let you go free with no consequences.” (Yes that is a wildly exaggerated analogy but it works). This is definitely not a big enough deal to overshadow the whole event and I have posted separately about how great I think it was and how much I like this project in general but given that it’s part of a wider pattern of misusing public funds then yes, I’m going to mention it. I mention it when other royals do it so I’m going to mention it now. There is a clear understanding between the British people and the monarchy about what perks they get and what they do in exchange for those perks and this is not sanctioned within that understanding. If you can’t do something without misusing public funds then don’t do it at all. If they were that close, why didn’t they all just walk and avoid this whole drama?
“Is there anything shady involving MM and her money?” Tarot Reading – September 17th, 2018
Just pulled some cards to see since there’s been a lot of talk around it and this is what I got.
(KOP, center; QOP, challenge; Judgement, root; Hanged Man, past influences; Eight of Wands, crown; Moon, near-future; Strength (Meghan), feelings/belief; Fool Rx, environment; Justice, hopes/fears; King of Cups (clarifiers: Three of Cups/Five of Wands/Hierophant), outcome/new direction)
YES! YES! YES!
Literally the biggest money cards in the deck, King and Queen of Pentacles, showed up together.
So yes.
Underneath that is the Judgement card, so her shady money dealings have to do with a contract or agreement she made.
I think she did it out of sadness and not being able to spend as much as she wants and be as materialistic as she wants to be (Hanged Man).
I think this was also a quick, run of the mill decision. A “get rich quick” kind of scheme and something done mainly off of her impulse and wanting that desired wealth quickly and fast (Eight of Wands).
This is definitely a secret she’s keeping from the family and the public (Moon).
She was very determined to get this money regardless of how she got it (Strength) (Eight of Wands). She might have used sex or flirting to get it, sidenote (Strength/Eight of Wands).
Whatever she signed or agreement she made, it was a really foolish decision lmao. Like, really dumb. Like, seeing an ad online that’s says “Win a free IPhone by clicking this link” and actually clicking and thinking you’ll get anything but a virus on your computer type of dumb (Fool Rx).
Whatever she did, involves something legal or will affect her legally (Justice). And she did this with a King of Cups man, so a water sign man, or someone she was close too. I think it was one of her friends (Three of Cups) or someone she’s in bed with (the shady corruption term, not literally in bed with). It might be a man with lots of power and influence, and/or wealth (Hierophant). Someone’s who very competitive.
Pulled off top of the deck
(Emperor, Seven of Pentacles Rx, Two of Pentacles, Tower Rx, Knight of Wands (Meghan), Temperance Rx, Nine of Cups, Hermit Rx (Harry), Sun Rx (Meghan), Two of Cups Rx)
This man that’s involved (Emperor) is upset that he’s not getting his end of whatever deal they had (Seven of Pentacles Rx).
Meghan’s trying really hard to keep this from coming out (Tower Rx) and is juggling this and her other “life” stuff (Two of Pentacles).
Meghan (Knight of Wands) knows if this came out and this scandal broke (Temperance Rx), it would cause a lot of instability and disorder and mess up her happiness (Nine of Cups) and bring her bad luck and misfortune.
She also knows that if this come out and/or is found out, it would destroy Harry (Hermit Rx) and hers (Sun Rx) relationship (Two of Cups Rx) and the trust would be out the window.
“Will her shady money dealings ever come out to the mainstream press?”
(Seven of Wands Rx, center; Queen of Wands Rx (Meghan), challenge; Nine of Swords Rx, root; Six of Swords, past influences; Four of Wands, crown; Star, near-future; Six of Cups, feelings/belief; Four of Cups, environment; Four of Pentacles, hopes/fears; Page of Wands Rx, outcome/new direction;)
Three of Swords fell out while shuffling
I think it will come out (Six of Swords) (Star). I think it will come out honestly because Meghan (Queen of Wands Rx) gives up on trying to stop it (Seven od Wands Rx) and she does something that triggers/angers the person with “the key” to the info. and that person spills (Star). Literally the Star card is cups pouring over lol. Seven of Wands Rx is also a scandal and bad gossip card, so yep it will come out.
It will break a lot of the relationships she has with people (Three of Swords).
I feel like it will be released either while she’s at home (Four of Wands) or during a normally good time like a party or celebration of some sort. It will probably be the UK press that drop it.
Meghan’s very worried and gets very worked up over it coming out (Nine of Swords). It might be while she is at a charity or someone from her past or someone she has a history with (Six of Cups). I think she’s disillusioned into thinking they would never release anything bad on her because of her status now (Four of Cups).
The press like I’ve said before is sitting on this, waiting for the right time to drop it (Four of Pentacles). But it will come out (Page of Wands Rx) and considering all the Wands I’d say soon and maybe in spring. If not then, next 3-6 months. March or June. Sorry timing can be hard to predict.
Knight of Cups Rx, Ace of Pentacles Rx, Page of Cups, Nine of Wands Rx, Knight of Pentacles Rx (Harry), Devil Rx, Two of Swords Rx, World
I think a man she knew or someone she knew and has a history with will spin the beans for money (Knight of Cups Rx) (Ace of Pentacles Rx).
This announcement (Page of Cups) will bring a lot of people to distrust her and give her a lot of paranoia (Nine of Wands Rx).
This will cause Harry (Kn. of Pen. Rx) to fully realize and wake up from the illusion he likes to sleep in regarding this relationship (Devil Rx).
It will cause Meghan and/or Harry to gk emotionally turmoil and feel a trapped like hysteria (Two of Swords Rx) when this breaks (World) and it will get lots of coverage.
This is what I got guys. Hope you guys enjoy it. Send feedback and requests as always. -TT
Frustrated that the US Treasury Department is walking back plans to replace Andrew Jackson on the front of the $20 bill with Harriet Tubman, Dano Wall created a 3D-printed stamp that can be used to transform Jacksons into Tubmans on the twenties in your pocketbook.
I was inspired by the news that Harriet Tubman would replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill, and subsequently saddened by the news that the Trump administration was walking back that plan. So I created a stamp to convert Jacksons into Tubmans myself. I have been stamping $20 bills and entering them into circulation for the last year, and gifting stamps to friends to do the same.
I’m not going to get my expectations up about October at this point. Money laundering is really hard to prove in newspaper articles, particularly since no one can order the royal books open for review, even after what happened with Air Miles Andy.
I’m sure Charles will arrange for her to get some money, basically to keep her mouth shut. They already know she’s a loose cannon and is not someone to be trusted. I’m sure there will be a very tight non-disclosure agreement signed before they kick her out the door.
I don’t think Charles is going to shell out money for a surrogate. Harry is likely not going to pay for it since he depends on his father. The Queen isn’t going to approve of using a surrogate either.
If she really did use a surrogate, then it would pose problems with how to hide it from the press. Because legally in the UK, Megs would not be the mother of the child. It would be a huge scandal for the monarchy if discovered. Charles and the Queen both know this, which is why Charles will never shell money out for it.
Okay, is part 2 of a longer anon. I’m not posting the first part because I don’t want to post the blogger’s post or name. I don’t like getting into Tumblr spats.
I think the receipts you are asking for are about the engagement dress? Am I right about that? I’m not sure because the post you cite said the dress cost “25k” and the engagement dress cost 56k pounds or $75k.
If you ARE asking about the engagement dress. KP told the DM that the dress was “privately purchased.”
The Sun was the only one who added the “not from official royal funds” and “it is thought they spent nowhere near that figure.” It is unclear whether they got that from their palace “source” (no other outlet got that info), or if they are talking about some other “source.”
A lot of people thought that the dress was sent to Jess as a freebie and then she gifted it to Meghan, thus circumventing the “no freebies” rule, but, as far as I know, there was not confirmation anywhere.
However, People subsequently noted that royals cannot accept clothes for free. They also stated that they “understand” that, at least up to March 2018, Harry and Meghan were playing for her clothes independently.
As you can tell, the sources of the statements get cloudier and cloudier. KP is on the record as saying that the dress was “privately purchased,” but once you start to ask where the funds came from the statements are attributed to “it is thought” and “People understands.”
I think the cloudy sourcing is why people bring Jess into the equation.
I used to think that it was because they were waiting to do a big “charity powerhouse” pr drive for Meghan this month, but that does not seem to be the case. I can only assume that it’s because the numbers are pretty low.
An anon thought that maybe they can’t release the numbers because they did individual charities instead of a big fund like Will and Kate, but I don’t think that’s the reason. They can ask the charities if they had a bump in donations between the announcement and the wedding date and publish that. The charities will know exactly what they got and where it came from.
Maybe. They might just file a seperation and get legally divorced later on I think like Charles and Diana did, I forget how it worked.
Pfft. Meghan will agree to grounds for annulment because the royal family’s lawyers will make it a viable option for her to sign the paperwork on it.
Really.
What benefit is there to the royal family in having Megs continue to be around with a title and an HRH? There is no value or benefit to the institution of the monarchy. And after all the trouble she has caused with her leaking to the press and spending exorbitant amounts of money on clothes? That girl leaks like a sieve. Why would they want to keep her around and bankroll her living situation for even longer?
Megs does not and will not have the ability to do a power play against the royal family. She doesn’t have anything to negotiate with; Diana had everything to negotiate with. Charles and Diana were married for more than 10 years, and Charles was–and still is–first in line to the throne. Harry is not. He is never going to become head of the Church of England. Diana was mother to a future king and a popular, INTERNATIONAL, public figure. Considerations that will never apply to Meghan.
In situations of divorce of wealthy and powerful people, you have to have something to negotiate with. Meghan has assured herself–by her own dumbass behavior–that she will have nothing to negotiate with, other than what remaining goodwill Harry has for her.
Ikr. It’s going to suck when Meghan realizes that she will probably come out of this marriage with less money than she came in with.
This isn’t surprising. Megs doesn’t have anything to negotiate with. The only ally within the RF she currently has is Harry. Once he’s not on her side, she has no one within the royal family as an ally.
She’s not going to give birth to a baby. She’s done a good job demonstrating she doesn’t respect the family or its protocols. She’s not popular within the UK. She has nothing for any lawyer to negotiate with considering the royal family holds all the cards in this situation.
“The double agent for the patriarchy is basically just a woman who perhaps unknowingly is still putting the patriarchal narrative out into the world. Is still benefitting off, profiting off and selling a patriarchal narrative to other women. But it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You know, just because you look like a woman, we trust you and we think you’re on our side, but you are selling us something that really doesn’t make us feel good. You’re selling us an ideal, a body shape, a problem with our wrinkles, a problem with ageing, a problem with gravity, a problem with any kind of body fat. You’re selling us self-consciousness. The same poison that made you clearly develop some sort of body dysmorphia or facial dysmorphia, you are now pouring back into the world. You’re like recycling hatred. I find that really dangerous and I think it’s unacceptable and I don’t care if you’re a woman. I think constructive criticism is needed for anyone to ever evolve. For our gender to evolve we need some sort of constructive criticism. As long as we do it in a somewhat careful way. (…) So many of the worst things in the world have happened motivated by greed. And I just don’t think that’s an acceptable excuse anymore. How much money do you need? Really how much money do you need? How much money do any of these huge influencers who are worth millions or billions sometimes… why are they still promoting appetite-suppressant lollipops to young girls? And it’s not a fight against obesity. They have young, already slim girls, in their adverts for Flat Tummy company, this company that are absolutely everywhere, and they’re even being advertised in some of the most mainstream magazines, women’s magazines, and they have a billboard in Times Square. The money is built on the blood and tears of young women who believe in them, who follow them, who look up to them like the big sister they never had. It’s so upsetting and it feels like such a betrayal against women.”
MEGHAN MARKLE, 37, and Prince Harry attended a charity gala last night. Meghan wore a blue dress from Jason Wu and Aquazzura shoes. The whole look cost over £9,000.

With £9,000 you can look like the mix between a Smurfette’s vagina + a potato sack. Lovely…
Thanks for sending this in! Looks like the price tags are making headlines again.
For the Brit brands: they are not used to give it to the royals for free. It’s just not done like that. Of course, Sarah Burton might give Kate a huge discount when she orders 5 coat-dressed from the same pattern but in 5 slighly different shades of pastel. But look at that from the perspective that at these numbers it’s no longer a bespoken, it’s a mass production! And Erdem might give Kate a wholesale discount for buying a whole line of curtain dresses in one day. I mean, they have to encourage their loyal customers. But absolutely free? Nope, still not done for the royals. As for Meghans: she does not have budget left. Whatever PC gave her, she blew it up already. So Canadian and US freebies it is. Whatever JM can find.
Thanks for sending this in! I think she still has a Stella tux somewhere (at leas according to one of the leaks), but, in general, I suspect you’re right.
The Altazurra trouser suit, €1,650, the Falabella Stella McCartney clutch, €425, the black suede Aquzurra pumps, €220, a €325 camisole by Deitas and a pair of pearl earrings gifted to her by Queen Elizabeth (price unknown, but worth at least €2,000) does not exactly exude a ‘princess of the people’ image
Thanks for sending this in! The ironic part is that they are complaining about a 5k outfit, which is on THE LOW END for Meghan. I didn’t even bitch about the cost of that outfit because Meghan’s average outfit cost is now somewhere near the five figures.
I suspect the straw that broke the camel’s back was that it was a 5k plain black pantsuit and it’s the fourth thousand-dollar black pantsuit she owns.
