Don’t look now Houseplantfan. They’re milking whatever charitable PR they can get in the run-up to the wedding. THis one’s giving me a foul churn in the gut though. They’re “set to attend” the memorial of Stephen Lawrence next week. (SL was a hate rime victim of a group of white supremacist thugs 25 yrs ago. There’s a memorial every year.) Harry’s being sent to read something on behalf of Wiliam. AND HE’S TAKING MEGHAN. My eyes could not roll any further. For me, it’s actually crossing OTT.

I feel like this is the second time they’ve taken over one of Will’s events, but I can’t recall right now what the first one was.

Well, Baby Cambridge 3.0 is probably coming early next week, so I can see why they would give it to Harry because Will might have to cancel last minute. 

Publicly announcing that MM is going is another thing altogether though.

1/I can just imagine how William must feel. He met Kate when they were teen-agers, they went through their ups and downs, but at days end, he took the relationship seriously, he actually DID have a process, he actually WAS being certain she could manage it and he could commit for their entire lives. Then his brother does this reckless b.s. This reckless b.s. is why Harry NEEDS to be reckless in his love life – if that makes sense. He can’t do differently til he stops being reckless overall.

2/and I can just imagine Harry being envious of what William and Kate share, including their beautiful family. But he’s not willing to do what William did, stay the course, respect someone you have serious feelings about even if you can’t yet commit, and finally make assurances and keep those assurances and be trustworthy. That’s how you end up with what Will and Kate have. Harry wants to “insta” it and that’s just so crazy I can’t even.

she is getting 3 events at CHOHM – one was even added for her on women’s empowerment with Harry attending. She gets opening and dinner. KP just tweeted. WTF?

I’m reading this as two receptions (youth and women’s empowerment) and no dinner and no opening, which is kind of what we expected. Are you guys reading the “also” as she being included in the opening and dinner?

W has always been the golden boy, H just had some positive yrs and a huge charisma in his favor. In their 20’s W looked doomed doing things bc it’s tradition and playing a bored married life before time, while H was the youthful passionate about everything he was involved. In my teens I became fan of the shy and mature teen W, but got annoyed with his “taking time” for this and that and tought it was excuses, but now looking at his steady life seems he knew what was the right thing to do.

Both brothers sought out what they wanted to be themselves in their spouses. William who always wanted to be normal, picked a normal woman, albeit one that was still wealthy enough to be apart of his circle. He wanted a solid, discreet, countryside loving life. Harry through Diana became obsessed with celebrity. He’s a spare in the BRF, but he can make waves as a celebrity, just like divorced Diana who lost her HRH. It’s where he feels prized and influential, and superior to his family.

Patricia Treble’s analysis of the Royals engagements.  HM is actually 24% above last year.  And she has comment about Harry’s leisurely work schedule.  Thinks he wil drop out of the top 10 royals by April at this rate.  Not good when your pregnant sister in law beats you.  Will has almost doubled his numbers.  PC as always with Anne are the workhorses of the RF along with HM.

And he’s only that high because he is counting his lunches and African vacays in that total.

Sophie and Edward are doing great as well. I’m glad to see that. I just hope Kate keeps her work schedule up after the baby is born.
