Queen Máxima arrived this Friday morning at the Costa Salguero center, to participate in the G20 summit. She will do so as a special advocate for the UN Secretary General for Inclusive Financing for Development. It does not represent Netherlands, whose delegation will be headed by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
“The outfits at the Netherlands State Dinner were pure perfection! Kate looked amazing in Diana’s tiara, Maxima of course is regal as always, and I really like Princess Michael of Kent’s ensemble.” – Submitted by Anonymous
I am so here for a Maxima + Sophie friendship omfg ❤ | The Countess of Wessex with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands on day 2 of the Dutch Kings’ state visit to the UK.
I don’t know, but Emily Andrews is low-key dissing Max and Kate. I think Kate’s dress can be criticized, but calling Max’s outfit “net curtains” is bizarre.
part 2) Kate is losing weight again. I assume she is just hard core exercise and dieting to loose the Louis weight and maybe is overdoing it. I hope it is not feeling threatened by Meg, bc there is NO competition there. When Kate got skinny before 2016?, I wondered if she and Will were having issues, and she was coping by dieting and exercising too much. I hope that is not the case now. He and the UK are lucky to have her.

I always forget that State Visits will bring Theresa May out of whatever cave she lives in when she’s not trying to convince the public she’s not a robot
Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall greet King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands at Buckingham Palace || October 23, 2018 in London, United Kingdom.
I am a huge fan of Maxima. She’s my favourite consort to a monarch without a doubt. She definitely has a huge amount of life and energy around her. She’s the kind of person who lights up a room and changes the energy of a place when she walks in. But she’s also a deeply compassionate person who goes out of her way to support people and be a strong presence. I admire her strength so much and her ability to support those around her.
Putting the shallow stuff aside for a second, Maxima is an amazing royal and I’m really so pleased to see her in the UK. I would love her to meet Kate and bond because she has been so incredible for other royal women. Charlene once said, “Maxima has been unbelievably supportive if I need help with anything. Because she came from Argentina and moved to Holland, we have made similar lifestyle choices. She has given me advice that I identified with.” Maxima offered support to Crown Princess Masako when she was dealing with her mental illness and it was so meaningful to Masako that she made her first overseas appearance in years at Maxima and WA’s accession to the throne because she wanted to be there for her friend on such a big day. Now that she’s lost her sister and we’ve heard more about Ines’s struggles I can understand why Maxima goes out of her way to try and support women who are dealing with the pressures of being royal. I think Kate copes pretty well with the pressure but with her interest in mental health and the huge role she’ll one day take on it would be so amazing for her to be able to learn from a young woman who is a successful, beloved queen and knows how important it is to listen to people when they’re struggling.
While I’m back for a hot second, I have to share this. This is beautiful. It hit me so hard, and it’s such an amazing statement from a woman in a lot of pain.
