I’ve never seen a purge operation this wide, this big. And this one thing that Stacey Abrams was mentioning during the debate, it’s not just the 53,000 names pending, it’s the 340,000 people purged. That is, their registrations have been canceled.

‘Painted People’ in Scotland Developed Written Language 1,700 Years Ago

archaeologicalnews:

The Picts, a fierce group of people who lived in Scotland during ancient and medieval times, may have developed their own written language about 1,700 years ago, according to results from new excavations.

The Picts (which means “Painted People” for their distinctive tattoos and war paint) are part of the reason the Roman Empire was never able to conquer Scotland. Every time the Romans tried to invade, the Picts and other Scotland inhabitants drove the would-be conquerors back. At times the Picts went on the offensive, attacking Roman-controlled England, forcing the Romans to send legions to try to beat attackers back. Roman accounts of the Picts sometimes describe them as a fierce people who had numerous tattoos and practiced polyamory.

However, while the Picts were often in conflict with the Romans, new research published today (Oct. 26) in the journal Antiquity, suggests that these people may have gotten the idea for a written language from the Romans. Read more.

While I think CDAN lists blinds that are made up, or from s** stirrers or underminers (a/k/a lies) along with whatever may be valid, one can see Meghan’s situation from her resume. He is correct, the income does not support the lifestyle or her claims. So what did she do for income? I figured boyfriends and borrowing; he figures yachting, facilitated by Soho House I get (she needed to stay somewhere while visiting Europe).

keepingupwiththebananadrama:

anonymoushouseplantfan:

And it definitely did not support Northwestern U loan payments.

I don’t think she was affiliated with Soho House during that time period. That came later.

She started messing with Soho house while in college. Her ex bff released pics of them at Soho during that time. But I don’t think she was in deep.

Blind item, blind item!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently, whenever a royal speaks at an engagement, the charity receives gifts or some sort. But apparently, Megs is asking for the cash to be given to her so that she can pass it on to the charities. Hoo hum!!!!!!!!!!!!

keepingupwiththebananadrama:

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Wait, whaaaaaaaaat?

http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2018/10/blind-item-11_26.html

Let’s see who’s dumb enough to give it directly to her.

I apologize for asking such a dumb question but what is the importance of the William attending the Duchy of Cornwall engagement? I love the RF but dont know how it works or anything

duchessofostergotlands:

Not a dumb question at all. It can be very confusing!! So the Duchy of Cornwall is a title reserved for the heir apparent and son of the monarch. It’s one of only two titles that comes automatically with a financial portfolio largely from property and land. That income provides funding for the activities of the Duke and their family. The Duke manages that portfolio. So William attending meetings for the Duchy before he’s actually the Duke shows that he’s preparing for the role. It’s part of the transition process that will happen when the Queen passes. It’s basically like Charles preparing to hand over the torch to William. And the fact William attended the meeting on his own- not as like a shadow to Charles- is also significant as it’s something he’s doing as part of his own development now. They’re including him as an important figure in his own right.

Lainey this am: ” This, to me, wasn’t a great choice. The material isn’t ideal, especially not now. It looks like scuba material, which isn’t soft, which bends at weird places, like around her shoulder and under her arms. Also? That bra issue again. Which was happening before she got pregnant. Visible bra lines shouldn’t happen when good styling is in play. Good styling is understanding which fabrics work with the body and how those fabrics will adjust and sit and fit.” 1/2

anonymoushouseplantfan:

2/2 —> she’s throwing JM under the bus!!! Yes!!! I knew for a fact that JM is NOT Lainey’s cup of tea but I wondering when she would finally throw the necessary shade at her for her crap styling. But then Lainey goes on to further bury her nose in MM’s asscrack by saying the tag hanging off her dress was a garment care tag & the company is to blame. I work in fashion. Never have I seen a care tag at the bottom seam of a dress. It’s usually attached via safety pin to the neck label TO BE SEEN!

I think they are throwing Self Portrait under the bus, which is weird because Kate has worn that brand for years and we’ve never seen a tag.

“fug Canadian bathrobe coat season”….hey stop blaming all Canucks and Canadian coats for Meghan’s godawful screwups. Mulroney is not beloved of Canadians (neither senior nor junior) nor the plastic wife. Nobody makes stuff look as ugly as Meghan does. Her pre-Harry life consisted of a) highly photoshopped pics in mags/Suits PR done by skilled professionals and b) highly curated half naked selfies on social media. Girl never had style.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Sorry!

Its not the first time we see nobody check her clothes, remember that coat cross/X sewing? Well, that time there was the excuse she was still not royal, but anyway she should take care of herself. It just made me realize, besides assistants, we haven’t heard of Harkles staff, remember when HM send ppl from her staff to W&K?

anonymoushouseplantfan:

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Samantha Cohen is still working for them, no?

I forgot to add a that the ONLY substance that has managed to seep through the belly-cupping, hand-holding, and family drama have been (i) the grants and scholarships from the Queen’s patronages, (ii) the Queen’s relationship with Fiji and Tonga, and (iii) the Queen’s message to the royal family of Tonga. I think that is because of Samantha Cohen.

I understand why Harry makes insane decisions. The British upper class are insane. They mentally abuse their sons and glorify a culture of silence: if you speak out you’re “not one of us.” These abused boys become leaders in Britains politics, media and culture who continue the abuse because they think it made them tough. They smugly look down on people who show emotion or who want to stop the abuse. I’m glad Will married “middle class” Kate and got away a bit from that world

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Thanks!

OMFG,did you see the new ‘leak’ to Katie Nicholl to Vanity Fair ”Meghan Markle Has a Princess Diana-Related Nickname from Palace Insiders”…”According to a source close to the royal household:”I’ve heard the duchess us referred to as Di 2,because of the similarities to Harry’s mother” Harry has a lot of Mommy issues,MM is soooo obsessed in being Diana

She mentions the see-through clothing!!!!! LOLOLOLOL.

For the better, many will rightly claim. I feel at least in the right place. In addition, when I am surrounded by both the Queen and the Crown Princess, I find myself in the middle of a sea of gold.””

royal-confessions:

“Catherine has nothing to worry about- Meghan is the Fergie to her Diana. Catherine is the future of the Royal family. As Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and other senior royals pass away- the future heads of the British Royal Family will be Catherine and William (thank god) so why would the future Queen have to be worried about a minor royal like Meghan? It’s only a matter of time before the ropes are 100% handed to the heir and his children while Meg & Harry will be sidelined.“ – Submitted by Anonymous

I think the focus should be on the outfit total rather than include the jewelry.

I recall two incident with PC one a guy got on stage and try to grab PC and the another time a group of protesters threw paint all over PC car. Both times PC just took it in stride and continued about his business he wasn’t removed he didn’t get upset. PA was almost kidnaped.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Anne was almost kidnapped too, and HM was shot at. George also had a stalker around his school.

Shots were fired at Charles when he was getting ready to give a speech in Australia. He just focused on fixing his cufflink.

Hi Plant, love your blog. You are so thoughtful and measured about all of the issues surrounding this poser. However, I have to respectfully disagree that the BRF bought into her at all, ever. I think they were NOT thinking with their nether regions, like Harry was, and they knew from the start that she’d be nothing but trouble. I have no evidence, of course, but I think they initially attempted to make her go away, either via a boatload of money or by just begging Harry to give it some time. However, they had to be careful because she’s Media Meg– they knew she would never hesitate to spill the tea on them. I’m sure lawyers were involved at some point, and I’m sure every move they make is designed to give Meg NOTHING to spill later. Hence the distance between H and M and all of the other family members. No access, no knowledge. That’s why she has seemed to get away with so much, and why she’s still doing it. She’d have something to spill if they tried to control her. She is a boil that will pop and disappear on its own, but they have to wait her out.

All good points.

First she is so obviously wearing butt pads in that pink floral dress more pics have come out and it is very apparent. Second what happened to the bump? Third, rumor around London media is save space for some Royal news in 24 hrs. Have no idea what it might be and it is a rumor.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

The bump comes and goes.

The bump probably depends on how much low back pain she’s willing to tolerate in sticking her tummy out.

#BatWeek: Be a bat hero!

Far from scary, bats enrich our lives by protecting American forests and agriculture from damaging insect pests and supporting plant pollination. These small creatures have a huge impact, and Bat Week is a great time to share their important contributions and think about what we can do to help them!

The Bureau of Land Management and our partners protect bats by increasing the quality and availability of bat roosting and foraging habitat. The BLM and Bat Conservation International work together to identify abandoned mines that are no longer suitable for mining, conduct surveys to assess bat habitat and population health that provide suitable habitat through bat-friendly mine closures. These closures help protect public safety, while providing habitat for dwindling bat populations.

There are many steps any member of the public can take to protect bats! Here are a few from our friends at Bat Conservation International:

  • Turn out the lights! Light pollution affects insect populations, disrupts bats as they migrate, and deters sensitive bat species.
  • Reduce, reuse, recycle! The overwhelming amount of garbage produced each year — hundreds of millions of tons in America alone — is one of the biggest hurdles to a healthy environment for bats and humans.
  • Learn more about your local habitat and ecological relationships. Read about bats online or attend a Bat Week event.
  • Help your friends and family understand that bats are beneficial and need our help.
  • If you can, plant a garden. You’ll have food and flowers, and you’ll attract insects that feed the bats. Consider creating a compost pile to add to the garden, recycle food scraps and attract even more, yummy bat food.
  • Volunteer! Parks, zoos, nature centers, conservancies, rehabilitation centers, museums, etc., rely on volunteers to help educate visitors, care for animals or take leadership roles. Your time is an invaluable gift.

Find out what else you can do at BatWeek.org.

Bat Week starts today and runs through Wednesday, October 31. This #BatWeek, and every week, the Bureau of Land Management is proud to work with partners to manage and conserve habitat for bats across the nation. Visit blm.gov/bat-week  to learn more about the BLM’s bat resources.
