Prince William escorting Prince George and Princess Charlotte into the Lindo Wing to meet their new little brother ♡♡

George is going to be a tall kid. Just look at how tall he is given he’s not even five yet. William is 6′3″ and little George is already up to his waist.

You see folks, here’s the difference! Catherine gives birth (for the third time), has perfect dress, makeup, hair, while leaving the hospital after giving birth a few hours before. She looks professional, a duchess, a future queen, clean, tidy. Meghan today looks a mess…messy hair, no covered shoulders, no stockings again! Totally unprofessional mess. She really must not have a frickin mirror!

Not only that…it was a Diana tribute outfit!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOL, I think Kate is flat-out trolling now.

‘Art Of The Wasted Day’ Makes A Case For Letting The Mind Wander

Book critic Maureen Corringan says:

Patricia Hampl, you had me at your title: The Art of the Wasted Day.

Imagine a book that celebrates daydreaming, that sees it not as a moral failing, but as an activity to be valued as an end in itself. To be clear, this is not a self-help book; nor is Hampl talking about meditation, yogic breathing or mindfulness — those worthy New Age practices that, well, have to be practiced.

Instead, Hampl’s intrigued by the kind of instinctual, floaty, aimless daydreaming that many of us, if we were lucky, indulged in for hours and hours as children. As adults, of course, we feel like we need to have something to show for our time: achievements, chores, to-do list items crossed off.

Kill the idea that naivety is an unforgivable flaw but cynicism is just wisdom, murder it, chop it up and serve it for dinner, I don’t care, just end this bullshit idea that it’s better to hate than to love and better to rot in miserable bitter resignation than to hope for the best.

“What I was trying to do was make it impressionistic of what it would feel like to live there at that time, so I wanted it to be a style of acting and setting as natural as possible. Then we take artistic license in altering things, to convey more what it would feel like at that time, using music that gives the emotional quality that I wanted the scene to have, as opposed to what actually might be a song [from the era]. A combination to create the impression of what it might have been like.” — Sofia Coppola

Working off of the labor of others, only there because of being born into capital and pre-existing familial or business relations? Yep

And people still try to defend this shit with ‘Well they MUST work REALLY HARD to earn THAT kind of money!!!’

I assure you they don’t. I assure you the people earning the least money are working the most. I don’t see CEO’s doing 60 hour weeks just to keep food on the table. They don’t do that, because they don’t have to, because they get paid so much they aren’t desperate enough to have to.

If you follow me, reblog this. It is an important piece of data. I would love to see one for the annual tax expenditure of minimum wage versus CEO’s as a proportion of their annual income.

This is the aggregation of labor. This is what it looks like. It has happened before. It will likely happen again unless it is changed.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

Thanks!

She really has no idea how to dress for these things, does she?

I can understand that because some of these dress codes are pretty subtle, but she was sold as someone who would have all the “performance” skills necessary for the job and she totally doesn’t. Everything she wears is somehow “off”–party dresses for diplomatic events, funeral dresses for birthday celebrations, costumey clothes for Christmas, etc…

And that dress looks like it doesn’t fit her either. Very baggy.

Is she legit doing her own hair? Like, with one of those dollar store donut shaped scaffolding things? It’s ridiculous at this stage. And I note another flapping belt, armpit viewing monstrosity of a “summer dress”, in the most deeply unflattering, aging, hemline. Even the Queen wears shorter hemlines, FFS. The whole thing looks like she was caught in a downpour, or pulled out of a river like a wet, spitting cat.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

I simply do not understand the hair at all. She can make it look good for the Queen’s events and for CHOGM, but she just won’t bother for Reprezent and the Stephen Lawrence memorial? Is that it?

I admire the queen as the queen; but when it comes to management, it might be a good thing PC takes over. His Duchy Originals make a ton of money, and while he may be self-indulgent spending on himself, I think he has the right idea about the monarchy overall. QE kept throwing honors and titles at Andrew – the biggest enabler ever – and she’s en route to doing the same w/Harry. PC might be smarter.

anonymoushouseplantfan:

I dunno. I’m torn with PC now that they are reorganizing everything into an umbrella.

Yup. The Queen failed miserably with Andrew.

MM is 100% correct is not inviting her family. It’s one thing to sell stories about her. If they attend the wedding and come in any sort of direct contact with the royal family, now they have stories to sell about the royals. If they don’t go to the wedding, then the only stories they have to sell is the one they’ve been selling, and that is getting old.

Who is going to pay for their food, shelter, and plane tickets? One or both of the half-sibs have asked for money from MM and Harry.

The father sounds unhinged. I wouldn’t trust this recluse. We don’t know his money situation.

I agree that MM uses and dumps people, but some people deserved to be dumped.

But she’s also ghosting the uncle who gave her the embassy job and other relatives who have not spoken to the press or have said only nice things. Noel is out there defending Meghan, but the phrase “I was invited” does not appear once in that article.

Even Tom Sykes thinks that the ghosting was a bad strategy.
