Ohemgee! Brat, that’s funny “park your ass” and yes, MM should and should have. I can’t believe she’s literally sticking her stomach out! and 2nd didn’t you say something about Harry and the how the public views him? By or on the 22nd. I think the plaque was good “start”, if you will, or that was it? Either way he didn’t look too happy. And sorry, but OZ isn’t such a “fan” either.

I bet we’re going to get many more shots of Meg’s belly cupping once they move away from Invictus. I bet she’ll be looking forward to it every opportunity.

It’ll be anything for attention. Even Lainey said today she thought this tour already felt long. They’re not doing a good job highlighting the charities or activities since they’ve focused the press on their PDA, love story, and pregnancy. So everyone is over it already. I’m sure Harry will perk up a little bit being around Invictus for a few days, but then it’s off to Zika Land–okay, Tonga and Fiji–via a 3 or 4-hour plane ride. 

It’s only October 20th in Australia now, so that means they have another ELEVEN days of this tour. These two will be beyond melted cheese at that point. I think it’s inevitable that the stress of this tour is going to start showing, probably after or on the 22nd.

It’s amazing that you can be on a Commonwealth tour as youth embassador without mentioning both any time. They are just visiting girls schools to look established programs. Than they do walkabouts. It’s all for mm’s empowerment nonsense and her merching. It’s so obvious that it’s planned for her. That’s not a royal tour. No history, no military, no cultural exchange, no business just presentation of mm. And she is really bad doing it.

Megsy shouldn’t be going to Fiji and Tonga. She should just park her ass at the Invictus Games for a week and cheer the Invictus competitors on the entire time. Every day. It would probably be less stressful on her body. 

She doesn’t want to do that of course. She probably wants to show off whatever dresses she’s already procured for those visits. So instead, she’ll shove her body off into different time zones and several thousand miles of travel so her body has to adjust to a completely different environment. And then do it again when traveling back to Sydney. 

As far as I’m concerned, she’s put her baby in the danger zone for all of November and into early December. And that’s because of the drinking, the travel, the possible Zika complications–which include pesticides used to combat Zika–and the probably not following other doctor’s orders such as taking it easy, aka rest. 

If she can make it to Christmas without major complications, then perhaps Harry and Megs’ crotch fruit will live to see the light of day. But I’m not going to hold my breath on that one.

I just learned that the Harkles visited the #FLYINGDOCTORS (RFDS) yesterday?  THE FLYING FREAKING DOCS! They are genuinely #iconic.

Can’t understand how you can just stand there and nod like a zoned out zombie with an engagement like that.  -How?

Don’t they advise women that do IVF to take it easy the first few months of pregnancy? add that this is a geriatric pregnancy and the chances that something could go wrong are even higher. She had to have been advised to stay at home by doctors. Why in the world would she take that chance and decide to add more stress to her life with this tour… is she trying to prove something or is she just that obsessed with attention, i wonder…

My guess is that she didn’t realize how the pregnancy would affect her, so she told them that of course she would go to Australia and handle a packed schedule and a Zika tour leg. 

I’d throw in a complete lack of humility for the root of her problem. If she had more humility, she wouldn’t be engaging in such arrogant, dumb behavior. 

It’s ironic that they talk about fast fashion and waste when she wears essentially disposable, couture clothing to every event. Hardly any of these outfits are classic, stand the test of time clothing choices. She’s doing fast fashion on a million dollar budget. And poor Charles is still recycling shoes from the 70s, just keeps re-soling them.

So again fast tracking all this crap was the WORST idea ever. They think its making them look like hard workers but in reality, it looks messy, unplanned & chaotic. Its the same boring crap over & over again. Atleast W&K actually do something during their engagements & not just walk, shake hands & leave. Meghan reminds me of a mentee I once had. Lovely girl and very eager, but she continuously overburdened herself and nothing ever got done right. Every single review she got noted that she had to pick her projects and make sure she had enough time to do things properly.  

This is the most tragic situation i have ever seen. If she goes to Tonga and Fiji and delivers a healthy baby, she might encourage not to listen the doctors and to become reckess. These cautions are here for a reason. If she goes and (god forbid) anything happens to the baby, Tonga and Fiji’s tourism will finish. If she does not go, Tonga and Fiji’s tourism will finished. How they can not see that? Are they really that attetion skeaker?

Yep, I’m seriously wondering what all their pr people are doing. Is it a vacation for them? KP usually has three paragraphs in their press releases detailing (i) the charity, (ii) what they do and how, (iii) a short comments from the charity leader and one of the participants talking about the effectiveness of the charity, and (iv) something linking the charity with the royals’ interests. That stuff then ends up on all the articles. Yes, it usually ends up at the bottom of the articles after all the clothing and cute pic/anecdote info, but it’s usually there. This time the charities barely get a mention.

I’ve given up trying to figure out what the Formula 1 kids were doing (some kind of after school program?). It looked interesting and I wanted to know more, but there was no info anywhere.

Good morning Houseplant and Anons. So she wore 2 different dresses in Melbourne? A blue one and a black one? I could have sworn it was the same dress…. And how wrinkled and dirty is that trench coat beginning to look? To me this looks like Megs is on a press junket to promote the Harry&Meghan love story. Instead of following Royal protocol, they are doing it the Hollywood way, hence the excessive PDA. These pictures will be a goldmine for the press when this all goes belly up!

This looks very sloppy to me. The clothes are sloppy. The coverage is all fluff. I thought maybe she was dressing sloppily because this was her “I focus on the substance of the tour” trip (those binders!), but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The substantive stops are not highlighted at all (and, as in the case of the aboriginal school, are sometimes shoved out of the way), which is a shame. Part of it is that they have so many events they all kind of blend into anonymous handshaking and cute kid pics, but part of it is that the charity stuff is treated as just background to Harry and Meg’s love story.

She met an after-school rugby program for girls and she doesn’t play rugby. The program is ironically named “Girls Can” and Meghan showed everyone that some girls actually can’t.

They were supposedly going to clean up a beach (which would have been great for awareness), but then they didn’t get to clean up. This reminds me of the drought-awareness stop in Dubbo which turned into a deluge. Both events became”Meghan and Harry hold hands as they meet with cute kids and eat,” which seems to be the theme of the tour.

I don’t think there has been much mention of Invictus, which starts on Saturday.

It really is all about Harry and Meghan being pregnant and in love and meeting kids. That’s the whole tour.

I didn’t follow Will and Kate’s Australian Tour, do Meghan and Harry have bigger crowds or is that just the imagination of some crazy stans because I saw some people on twitter saying Harry and Meghan’s crowd in Melbourne is much bigger than Will and Kate’s? And are the crowds really that huge?

They still got a lot of people. One thing I noticed is that a ton of kids were pulled from schools. Several were interviewed, and if you look at Kate’s photos, you will notice that there was a higher proportion of grown-ups in their pics.

I hate that tours are royals “jobs”. There’s no work involved. It’s a vacation to working class people. Like, all they do is have their hair and makeup done, walk around, talk to people and take photos. That’s it. Must be nice.

I wouldn’t say there’s no work involved. It’s different work from a regular 40-hour per week day job. All the normal “work” happens behind the scenes. Tour is regular pr work, and I’m sure there are a lot of publicists who could tell you that they do “work” even if it’s not work similar to your own.

Harry and Megs aren’t doing a good job of that work though. They’re supposed to be highlighting Australia and charities and the good work of other people. But they’re just making it all about them.

Personally, I think it’s rather childish and gross (because the spooning bananas post was oddly sexual) and unworthy of a royal engagement, but I bet these two were cackling when they came up with it. They are mentally 12 years old.

I’m half appalled because this was, after all, a formal royal engagement where they were representing the queen, and half admiring because they got Rebecca English to EAT that thing. I bet they got a good laugh out of that.

I’m not trying to say Meghan isn’t an attention seeker, because she is…. But i don’t think she’s completely responsible for all the events turning out to be all about her. I think the press picks these stories and runs with it. At the moment the press has an obsession with Meghan, not charities. They are always going to find a way to focus on her. Even if she didn’t bake the bread they would find something else. The pregnancy announcement on the other hand was wrong and could’ve waited longer.

The press always focuses on the crappy stuff–the clothes, the “looks of love,” the pda etc… The royals used to be really good at using that to attract attention to their work and the charities. That’s why we have had all of that diplomatic dressing and country-specific jewelry. It’s also why Kate’s charity work is tied to her art degree or her family or her love for sports, Will’s is tied to Africa and motorcycles, and Harry’s was tied to Africa, his mom, and the military. They know the biographical stuff brings media interest (particularly the Di stuff).

The problem with Harry and Meghan is that they don’t tie the biographical stuff to anything. She visited a fracking girls’ schools, similar to the one she attended as a child, which would have been a great way to tie in the biography stuff to an actual worthy cause. But what they did do? They embargoed it and focused on banana bread.

He looks so weird he looked weird at the wedding. Not a guy happy to welcome a child into his life. Tense. Maybe it is devalue stage with a narc or maybe the whole thing is getting to him but I think this guy is heading for major trouble psychologically. He is going to have a break down at this rate.

Yup. Something just seems off about him ever since the cookbook rollout. Doesn’t seem like the guys I’ve known in the past who are getting ready to be a dad. His immaturity is off the charts now. Almost wonder if Meghan is encouraging some of his immature behavior…

Is it me or are these first few days of the tour kinda…blah? I can see why they announced the pregnancy, without it, it’s pretty boring so far. Just goes to shows she really doesn’t bring a lot of attention if not for Harry. Her main problem is people haven’t and can’t warm up to her, with Kate, people had years to know her and like her. With Meghan, it’s all rushed and hyped. Plus, I see why her legs are weirdly shaped with those jeans and boots!

It’s not just you. This has been a complete snooze fest. Her fans seem to be really excited about mundane stuff like binders, banana bread, and umbrellas, but to me this is like watching my cousin’s Instagram vacation pics, except my cousin dresses better, does more interesting stuff, and takes better pictures.

I wonder if part of the problem is that we don’t have very good pics. Tim Rooke and Chris Jackson are opting for Meghan’s preferred black-and-white pics and the monochrome palette makes this more boring than usual. 

Rooke posted some of his old Harry pic and the different between then and now is striking–uniforms, landmarks, bright colors, and animated expressions before and monochrome pics, anonymous locations, neutral clothes, and stiff social smiles now.

EXACTLY. That’s why I say every single event is biographical. Hamilton was about her Hollywood connections and her favorite play. Sussex about her American heritage and seeing a copy of the Declaration of Independence. The museum opening was about her upcoming tour. Grenfell was about her love of food and the important role it played in her life. Invictus is about their love story and her first public appearance. Her arrival in Australia turned into a pregnancy announcement. Dubbo was about her banana bread.

It’s truly amazing how she can make it all about her.

It’s just a supremely boring tour. The clothes are bland neutral crap that doesn’t fit. The settings are meh. The stunts are all stuff they’ve done before with another message piece of clothing like the Husband shirt at Invictus, another girl who looks like Meghan like the actress wannabe at Stemettes, and another baby related medical event just like the one they did in Ireland. Daphne Dunne stands in for Nottingham’s Haribo lady and so on.

One of the things I hate the most about these two is that ALL of their events are 100% biographical. They are supposed to be highlighting the countries and charities they visit, but, instead, it’s all MEMEMEMEME. The focus is on how Harry’s fans worship him, or how Meghan inspires biracial girls, or her cooking skills, or her relationship with her mother, or her American background, or whatever. It’s ALL bout THEM.

I see no difference between Mary of Denmark and Meghan. Both are social climbers and camera whores. Meghan also copies Mary’s style.

I’m no Mary fan, but she dresses a lot better than Meghan and carries herself professionally. She rubs me the wrong away (I find her arrogant and cold), but I have to admit that she looks and acts like a princess and future queen. I cannot even picture Mary wearing a friend’s “royal collection” oversize jacket (”be the ROYAL you can BE”), or showing up somewhere with ginger-chocolate-chip-and-banana bread.

Meghan is a frustrated lifestyle blogger who found a lonely prince and decided that this was her ticket to a life full of published cookbooks, merching, and domestic goddess profiles. She’s trying to use the brf’s platform to create a royal version Goop or something like that. It’s bizarre.

If you have a problem separating reality from reality TV then you should probably seek some help and take some time away from the cameras.
