Yep, the reason the rules exist and are enforced is so you don’t have a brattish player ruining the game for everyone, which is exactly what happened here. OMG My heart went out to Naomi Osaka’s reaction to Serena’s reaction. That was not just bratty, it was unsports(woman/man)like. Period. That arrogant behaviour demeaned her opponent’s victory. This is turning into football (=soccer) – supposed to be a gentleman’s sport, but played by louts.
