Eugenie had to postpone her wedding twice and probably had the tiara picked before first postponement and I seriously doubt Queen would let some future in-law wear something her granddaughter, a blood princess has already picked.

That’s my theory too. Eug started planning her wedding last summer and had the tiara picked out and them Meghan tried to get it.

I wonder how pissed MM was when Eugenie walked in with that tiara on. No wonder MM and PH didn’t stay for the reception. MM probably pulled the “I don’t feel well” card because she was embarrassed that Eugenie wore the tiara she wanted, and PH had to take her home.
