I would take off the wedding dresses and the shoes, just to be fair. That’s a special occasion and I would expect those prices to be through the roof.
However, that’s still close to 400,000 dollars ($390k according to my math and we are still missing several items like the VB sweater and some stuff that doesn’t have prices).
To put that in context, Kate’s most expensive fashion year ever was 2017. She spent $160k.
She spent about 105k pounds in her first year as a royal (roughly, Liz Jones’ calculations cover June 2011-2012). Her most expensive piece of jewelry was an Asprey necklace that cost 3k pounds.
LOL, I remember thinking that was absolutely ridiculous, but Meghan has spent FOUR TIMES the amount in six months. Heck, I think Kate’s entire first year clothing allowance barely covers ONE of Meghan’s Cartier bracelets.

Note that in the promotional photo it is shown as a drop waist dress, but Meghan is wearing it in a blouson style. Looks like she picked a drop waist dress that is too long for her to wear as drop waist (looks like the hem might drag if she did), so she’s wearing it blouson style, which is not flattering. Makes the dress look like it is swamping her.
Just looked at the links for the dress (Moda Operandi’s site and Vogue’s slideshow of the collection) and realized that this is a 2019 Resort dress! In other words, won’t be available for purchase until the fall. How common is this for royals to do this? I’m trying to think of a similar situation. This is common with celebrities for them to borrow and wear the sample, but royals??
